Representation of the experience of intrusive thoughts, such as fear, isolation, or inevitability.

The following 4 pieces were created for the Neurodivergent Society Festival in the University of Galway Art Gallery.

The somewhat abstract pieces are a representation of what neurodivergence may feel like growing up, as it did for me. The base of the pieces show gorgeous bright colours with personality, the second layer is harsh black ink, thick with internal dialog and conflict, and finally the top layer, a golden mask.
